Project location by coordinates
What it is
You can set a project’s location by postal address or, if the site has no address (open lots, unnumbered industrial plots, linear works), by entering coordinates directly.
How to use it
- Open the project settings.
- In the location field, instead of searching for an address, enter coordinates directly.
- Supported formats:
- Decimal (e.g.
40.4168, -3.7038) - Degrees, minutes, seconds (DMS)
- UTM
- Decimal (e.g.
The project is positioned on the map using those coordinates, without needing a recognized postal address.
Use cases
- Sites on open lots or plots without numbering.
- Industrial estates with incomplete addresses.
- Linear works (roads, power lines, pipelines) where a single address doesn’t represent the project well.
