Automatic timelapses

What it is

VisionHub generates your timelapse videos with a fully integrated editing engine: pick a camera, a date range, and a style, and the video is generated automatically — no video editor needed. Processing typically takes 5 to 15 minutes, and you’ll get a notification as soon as it’s ready.

How to request a timelapse

1. Go to Timelapse and click Request timelapse.

2. Selection — choose the camera (you can select several) and the date range: this week, this month, or since the project started.

3. Configuration — choose the timelapse type:

   • One-off: generated immediately.
   • Weekly recurring: generated automatically every week, on the day you choose.
   • Monthly recurring: generated automatically every month, on the day you choose.

   You also set the final video’s duration and output resolution.

4. Intro — customize the opening and closing of the video:

   • Configure a generated intro (background color, title and subtitle text, alignment, logo) or upload your own intro video (MP4/MOV, max 100 MB).
   • Drag the logo or the text over the preview to position them.
   • Choose background music from the available selection, or publish without music.

5. Confirm — review the summary and submit the request.

Each account has a limited number of timelapse requests per month; the wizard shows how many you have left.

Scheduled timelapses

From the scheduled timelapses panel you can see, at a glance, every active recurring timelapse for each camera: frequency, duration, music, and the next send date. From there you can:

• Edit a scheduled timelapse’s configuration.
• Delete it (it stops being generated and sent).
• View already-generated timelapses in the gallery.
• Create a new one directly for that camera.

Condition filters

When configuring a timelapse, you can filter which images are included based on the condition they were taken in: sunny, night, rainy, or cloudy. This is optional — if you don’t filter, all available images in the selected range are used.

Filtering by rain or clouds can significantly reduce the number of available images, so the final video may end up shorter than expected.

Advanced per-camera settings

Advanced mode opens an image editor to adjust, camera by camera, how each shot looks before generating the video:

• Color and exposure: exposure, saturation, contrast.
• Lens distortion: k1/k2 correction.
• Framing: scale and rotation.
• Stabilization method, to smooth motion between frames for a more consistent transition between shots.

You can load images from a specific day and time to preview the adjustment before saving it.

Requirements and limitations

• The number of timelapse requests per month is limited according to your plan.
• The intro logo accepts PNG or JPG (max 50 MB); the custom intro accepts MP4 or MOV (max 100 MB).
• Generation time depends on the video’s duration and the number of images processed; the typical range is 5 to 15 minutes.

Once generated, the timelapse goes through internal review before it’s available.
